Brigetta Piggott is an emerging Toronto (Tkaronto) based queer artist captivated by the awkwardness, discomfort and contemplation of what it means to be human. She challenges cultural taboos via sex and body positivity, breaking free from society’s prescriptive relationships with self and all other living beings. She trained primarily in sculpture at York University, working in the foundry, metal and wood shop and graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Fine Arts. After earning her degree, she traveled the world for a few years, and painted murals along the way. Her murals are featured in businesses and homesteads around the world; a yoga productions studio in Mexico, a yoga studio, an escape room, and a clothing shop in Vietnam, a retreat centre in Costa Rica, a Hostel in Panama, a tree house at a lodge in California, and a sex club in Toronto. She takes commissions to paint abstract figurative artwork and landscapes in punchy bright colours to compliment your space. She specializes in semi-abstracted faces and sensually contemplative figures in her bold, saturated style.
